We took our Matt Jones-inspired Marin San Quentin and shrunk it down to fit 20" wheels. It's the perfect bike for kids who are ready for their first proper, hardcore hardtail mountain bike. The Marin San Quentin 20", just like the big kid's version, shreds the boundaries of the mountain bike genres - doing it all with a huge splash of big air, speed and style. Designed with the input of freeride legend Matt Jones, the San Quentin takes the DNA of our dirt-jumping Alcatraz and mutates it into a go-further and faster all-round, hardcore hardtail. The San Quentin 20" will feel just like a 'grown up' mountain bike to your little ripper, built with a stout Series 2 aluminum frame, 20" wheels, an SR Suntour XCM suspension fork, 8-speed Shimano drivetrain and kid's specific hydraulic disc brakes. SERIES 2 ALUMINUM FRAME - San Quentin 24" and 20" both feature a Series 2 aluminum frame, with a tapered headtube, 3D forged dropouts, IS brake mounts, semi-internal cable routing and 135mm open dropouts. DIRT JUMP INSPIRED FRAME STYLE - Taking cues from the Alcatraz, as well as the full-size San Quentin lineup, the San Quentin 24" and 20" proved all the benefits of DJ style, with massive standover, slick frame tubes, and a hot paint job. MODERN TRAIL GEOMETRY - A slack headtube angle paired with a steep seat tube angle creates a ride that will fly uphill, yet descend like it's on rails. The balanced rider position is puts the rider weight between the wheels for steady climbing and handling on flats, while the slack front end helps to add higher speed stability through turns and rough patches. 1X WIDE-RANGE DRIVETRAINS - Modern 1x drivetrains, just like the larger San Quentins, give the rider the benefits of shifting simplicity and chain retention.

The Stinson brings a new level of comfort and control to your ride. This model has a lightweight Series 1 aluminum frame with low standover, an ergonomic handlebar, plush saddle, and versatile, high-volume 27.5" tires with mixed tread for control on a variety of surfaces. Design features include our Comfort Control Geometry with upright seating and the ability to touch the ground with the forefoot, while maintaining proper saddle height for pedaling efficiency. SERIES 1 ALUMINUM FRAME The Stinson features a Series 1 6061 aluminum frame with exceptionally low standover, disc brake mounts, and rack and fender eyelets and high-volume 27.5” wheels. Stinson ST models further lower the standover height with a step-through frame design. Built around a lightweight aluminum frame with proper MTB geometry, a series 1 aluminum fork, fast rolling yet grippy tires, MicroSHIFT Acolyte 1 x 8 speed wide range transmission with clutch enabled rear derailleur, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with kid-specific, close reach levers, and finished off with a myriad of Marin's own kid-specific components. The Bear Valley really is one of our most focused and thought-through kids' bikes in the range.

The Kentfield offers a hybrid blend of speed for efficient riding and the upright and confident position of a mountain bike. With multi-terrain tires and full rack and fender mounts, it's built for short to medium distance commutes and bike path fun rides. We've taken the Alcatraz 1 and scaled it down for smaller riders. Built upon the same tubing as the larger models, it features a 360mm reach, 69° headtube angle, and 72° seattube angle, with 369mm chainstays. A suspension-corrected rigid CrMo fork is designed to handle rough-and-rowdy riding, and a simple and stout single-speed drivetrain and Tektro mechanical disc brakes ensure a fun and safe ride.

The Marin Bobcat Trail 4 is our mid-level Bobcat, packing plenty of fun into a bang-for-bike package. Very much a legit MTB, the Bobcat 4 is stacked with quality kit for off-road adventures and includes an SR/Suntour fork, Shimano CUES wide-range 10-speed shifting, and Tektro hydraulic brakes. Like all Bobcats, it’s built around a fast, comfy, and fun Series 2 aluminum frame and is available in 27.5" or 29" wheels, depending on frame size. The Marin Nicasio+ is our Nic’ with a modern twist, switching in big-volume 47mm rubber, 650b wheels and a sleek and straightforward 1X drivetrain. We also specced a microSHIFT Sword Black 1x9 drivetrain, powerful Tektro mechanical discs and plenty of Marin components. Those WTB Horizon 650Bx47mm tires not only provide a cloud-like ride, but also look super dreamy with tan sidewalls.

The Nicasio+ is for the rider looking for something different and modern, yet with traditional steel construction. Classic lines and CrMo frame tubes have the soul of a classic bike, with the geometry and 700c x 30mm-40mm or 650B x 47mm tires to let riders handle any surface. The Beyond Road Geometry offers a blend of endurance road handling with enhanced stability for off-pavement use.
